FIRST
Remove all excess spillage quickly by blotting
throughly with a dry towel. (Fig. 1) Solids
should be removed by scraping towards
the center of spill with a dull instrument like
a spoon. (Fig. 2)

SECOND
Detemine the type of stain and check the
stain removal chart for the correct
removal process. (Fig. 3) If you do not know
what the material is always try cleaning
solvent first, and if that is unsuccessful,
try shampoo.

THIRD
Before using any chemical, test carpet or
rug for colorfastness. (Fig. 4) All chemicals
should be used with caution and in 
accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions. When applying chemicals, use
sparingly, working from the edges of stain
towards the center so that it is not spread
further. (Fig. 5)

FOURTH
Wipe gently at the pile. Do not rub or stain
may spread. (Fig. 6)

FIFTH
If the first choice of cleaning solution on
the stain removal chart does not remove stain, 
blot up excess moisture and try the second
choices, following the above steps.

SIXTH
After the stain has been removed, rinse
out the chemical with clean warm water
and a clean cloth or sponge. (Fig. 7) Be
careful not to get carpet too wet.

SEVENTH
Blot up all the excess moisture with towels.
Once the carpets is as dry as possible, put
severall towels over the damp area and
weight down with heavy object. (Fig. 8)
This will continue to draw out moisture
and residual spillage from base of pile.
Area should not be walked on untill
completly dry. (Fig. 9)

Using these seven simple steps can help keep
your wool floor covering free of spots and
stains for a long time  The golden rule in
removing stain on carpet is to act quickly.
Most stain will vanish if treated immediately.


CAUTION
Dry cleaning fluids may be toxic or flammable.
The usual precautions should be taken when
